Tax Assistance

A FREE, volunteer-staffed* community service is available in Boerne, Kendall County and surrounding areas. We prepare and e-file individual income tax returns from February 3 through April 15, 2020. There are no income or age restrictions. Service is offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Spanish-language assistance is available on Tuesdays at the library.

We can assist with tax questions and complete virtually the most commonly used IRS forms. Taxpayers must bring:

  1. Copy of last year's return
  2. Photo ID
  3. Social Security Card

*Volunteers preparing tax returns are not IRS employees but are trained and certified by the IRS.

Starting February 3 tax returns are prepared on:

Mondays 2 PM - 6 PM (Except President's Day, February 17)

Tuesdays 1 PM - 6 PM

Wednesdays 1 PM - 6 PM

Tax returns are also prepared at Kronkosky Senior Center at 17 Old San Antonio Road. Starting February 3 volunteers will prepare taxes there from 8 AM to NOON (Open on President's Day).
