Introductions -17 Present

David Querbach, Merchant’s Association, is in charge of Market Days.  His phone number is 210-344-8193.   (2nd Weekend of the Month)

Dan Ochoa suggested Events Board be posted at Chamber or some high visibility location to let citizens and visitors alike know of upcoming events.  It was also requested if upcoming events could be printed for the Tourism Council Meeting, in case any pending matters need to be addressed or discussed.  Wendy Little mentioned she had 3 pages of events for the Oct newsletter alone.

Dana briefly discussed ongoing efforts to find New Director of the CVB by the Directors and Board Members of the Chamber of Commerce.

Art Gallery and Wine Tasting is 2nd Saturday of the Month from 5 pm. – 8 p.m

Trolley stops every 10 minutes beginning as follows:

                        Best Western                4:00 p.m.

                        Holiday Inn                   4:15 p.m.

                        Ye Kendall Inn 5:00 p.m.

Tami & Charles Kegley distribute flyers, but none were done this last time.  There was confusion as to when trolley was supposed to start picking up people and people ended up waiting,

Dan suggested that a Route Map be posted in Hotels, so everyone will know route.

Victoria at Creek Restaurant coordinates the trolley—Dayna was going to try to help out so no one has to wait

Rob Zeigler of City Council is speaking with the owners of the Creek Restaurant (The Durands) about a full time trolley for the past month.  It will be coming before City Council at the next scheduled meeting.  Rob is considering a one year contract as a test.  Durands would take care of maintenance and insurance.  Funding looks good right now for this project

Kendall County Lodging Association plan to promote B&Bs

Teens on the Green (11-17 year old future golf pro champs) is a non-profit org putting together scholarships, etc. for these “best of the best” youths.  They will be coming to Tapatio Springs for Tournament in November 2007.   About 150 families will be needing lodging, food, and possibly want to go shopping.

Bob Caran wants to do presentation for Christmas this year (A Hill Country Christmas).  He will need a projector.  Dayna called a special meeting for Wed, Oct 10th at 8:00 a.m. (Best Western) for presentation and hopefully announce new Director.

Regular meeting will be Wed. Oct. 31st at 8:00 a.m. (Best Western Conf Room)
