The Agricultural Heritage Museum will host the third annual Chuck Wagon Cookoff and Heritage Gathering on March 1st.

The cook-off will bring in 15 chuck wagons from all over the Great State of Texas. Two to four person cook teams will prepare chicken fried steak, beans, bread, potatoes, and fruit cobbler. Pre-sale meal tickets will be available for $15 at the Boerne Visitor Center near Wal-Mart starting in February. Regular admission to the event without a meal is $5 (free for those 12 and under).

As the cook-off and heritage gathering winds down, Saturday night gets started with a western swing dance starring Bobby Flores at the Old Dance Hall at the Fairgrounds next door to the Ag Museum from 8 pm to midnight. Admission for the dance is $10.

The Ag Museum is a non-profit organization established in 1986 to preserve historical farming implements to educate future generations about Kendall County's agricultural history.

Chuck wagon sponsors and volunteers are still needed. Contact Kristy Watson at 210-445-1080. For more information, go to www.agmuseum.org.
