When we decided to move our family to the Hill Country, we chose Boerne for the same reasons many of you call Boerne home. Whether you are a long time, or recent resident, one thing we can all agree on is we want our wonderful city to maintain the charm and unique characteristics that we all love. As a 4th generation Texan my roots run deep, I understand the desire to protect and preserve.
Upon moving to Boerne in 1996, I immediately immersed myself in the community. I believe in serving the community we call home, which I have done for the past 22 years.
I started with serving on the boards of the PTOs of my children's schools and the Boerne High School Band Boosters. I was a founding board member of the Boerne Family YMCA and served as Board Secretary of the Cibolo Nature Center. In 2007, I became a CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) serving as a voice for children who have been removed from their family due to abuse or neglect.
My husband, John and I have been married for 39 years and have 3 children and 3 grandchildren. We are members of First United Methodist Church and have owned a tax consulting business in Boerne since 2003.
I believe the experience I have gained through my community service and running a small business brings a unique perspective to my service on City Council.
