What's new in Boerne? We are!
The Boerne Convention and Visitors Bureau has kicked off the new year by adding some new players to the roster. Jeanette Teague and Tori Bellos bring new excitement and perspectives to the department and are eager to serve Boerne’s Hospitality community and our visitors.
Jeanette Teague joined the Boerne Convention and Visitors Bureau in November 2014 as the Administrative Assistant & Sales to CVB Director, Larry Woods. She studied Marketing Management at Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio, and brings with her over 30 years of experience in accounting, marketing and executive administration to the CVB. Jeanette knows her education, experience, and love of Boerne will assist in promoting our fair city to its fullest potential and then some. Jeanette was born and raised in San Antonio and has called Boerne home for over 10 years. When asked why she wanted to work for the City of Boerne, she replied, “I am so very blessed to live, shop and raise two daughters in Boerne and would be honored and proud to take an active part in supporting and promoting the City of Boerne and its community”.
Tori Bellos stepped into the Marketing Specialist position as of January 2015. With a Bachelor’s Degree in Recreation Administration from Texas State University, she joined the City of Boerne Parks and Recreation Department in 2007 as the Special Events & Marketing Supervisor. Tori is a long time resident of Boerne who loves her town and is ready to show why you should love it too. Her parents (Michael & Cindy Glick) relocated from the Rio Grande Valley in the late ‘80s. Tori spent the majority of her childhood in Boerne and graduated from Boerne High School in 2002. She says that “It’s been a joy to serve the citizens of Boerne by producing events and programs for families, and I look forward to showing our out-of-town guests how wonderful our community is as well”. Tori is married to her husband of 8 years (Matt Bellos), with whom she has two daughters.
Larry Woods, Director of the Convention and Visitors Bureau, stated that he is excited about the addition of Jeanette and Tori to his staff. Both of these individuals bring great talents and new energy to the CVB. Overall, the Convention and Visitors Bureau is coming off of a very good 2014, wherein local hotels have had their best year yet in the city’s history; and over the past five years, hotel revenues in Boerne have increased 26%. Our continued challenge and mission at the CVB, is to assist our local hotels in promoting and attracting more guests to the Boerne area.
Larry would like to also mention that if you are planning a wedding, meeting or other special event in the Boerne area, please contact, Val Anderson, the Group Coordinator at the CVB. Val, who in her own right, has been a tremendous asset to the CVB in coordinating numerous events annually with local hotels, venues, and restaurants.
