First Day Hike
First Day hikes are a great way to get out and about in nature and connect with all that is fresh in the world and each other. Make a mental list of resolutions or take a moment to clear your mind while taking in the sights and sounds of nature around you. Lace up your shoes and hit the trails through town or at one of our local parks like the Cibolo Nature Center, Boerne City Lake Park, or Guadalupe River State Park. If you’re feeling particularly adventurous, take a quick polar bear plunge into the lake for an adrenaline rush. (Please note that all Kendall County Parks & Recreation Department Facilities are closed to the public on staff holidays)
Eat It Up!
Celebrate with food! There’s a little of everything here in Boerne, so make a reservation, order a glass of something tasty and let our eateries wow you. Do keep in mind that many restaurants will be keeping holiday hours or may require a reservation. We have compiled a convenient list of restaurant hours for Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, and New Year’s Day that may offer some guidance or recommendations.
