Prepare To Shop 'Til You Drop In Boerne NEXT Saturday! (April 21st)

Feeling like a shopping escape is in your near future? Boerne’s shopping scene is always spot on, but NEXT weekend is a can’t-miss shopping weekend! The Hill Country Mile will be buzzing with exciting events, and there are multiple opportunities around town to snag a deal on some great handmade items. So, grab your favorite shopping partner and make plans to get your shop on here in Boerne on Saturday, April 21st!

The Boerne Handmade Market comes around twice a year, and the spring market is slated for NEXT Saturday, April 21st at the Cana Ballroom. There are some amazingly talented “makers” in the Boerne area and beyond who make some amazing goods. If you like to shop for items that are truly unique, and you also enjoy getting to meet the individual who spent their time lovingly making said items, a trip over to the Spring Boerne Handmade Market event needs to be on your calendar. If you want to do a little pre-shopping to peruse some of the available wares, there is currently a full list of vendors on their website with examples of their products!

If you’re a new subscriber, you may not have heard us toot our horn about the Hill Country Mile yet. Toot Toot! To be honest, it’s Boerne’s biggest attraction. The downtown sidewalks are lined with retail establishments offering high-end jewelry, clothing and home décor.  You’ll also find resale and vintage shops that will bring you a thrill-of-the-hunt experience and a never-ending supply of special treasures to be found.

NEXT weekend presents an extra special treat for shoppers. The 26th Annual Texas Corvette Association Car Show will be taking place! The streets surrounding Main Plaza and Main Street will be closed to vehicle traffic and lined with a wide assortment of glistening cars of all makes, models and vintages. There’s always a few for sale too! So if you’re in a car shopping mood, this is the place to set your sights on.

In addition to the car show, The Mile has a few other noteworthy events happening that you may want to keep in mind! The Dienger Trading Co. is offering a watercolor calligraphy class, and the Maker’s Place will have public paint and sip event. (There will be public paint and sip events on the Thursday and Friday leading up to the 21st as well!)

The Farmers Market at the Cibolo is up and running every Saturday from 9:00AM-1:00PM at the Historic Herff Farm. Vendors are set up and ready to fulfill your local farm-good needs including fresh, straight-from-the-farm produce, scratch-baked goodies, specialty coffee, local wine, all-natural body products, one-of-a-kind leather goods, native plants, small-batch pet food and so much more. April 21st is a particularly good market to head out to the farm because it’s the Spring Family Fun Festival! The whole family will love celebrating the changing of seasons and exploring an assortment of exciting programs and activities for kids of all ages.
