Oh, Those Boerne Hot Rod Nights!

If you’ve ever explored Boerne, you know all about its incomparable charm. There are numerous annual events, traditions, and gatherings that make this town feel as homey as it does. The sense of community here is hard to beat–even the out-of-towners say so!  Some of the many events that continue to capture the attention of locals and visitors are Hot Rod Nights at Soda Pops Patio Grill and Bar on the Hill Country Mile. This 50’s inspired, family-oriented block party happens twice a month when the warm weather hits us. This is the perfect opportunity to make lasting memories, eat great food, enjoy live music, and marvel at classic cars!

The Music –

The season kick-off was on March 24th, but don’t you worry! There are plenty of Hot Rod Nights coming your way. Ending with their annual Halloween Bash, the season continues all the way into late October. The live music scene at this venue is nothing short of a good time with everything from country shuffles to rock n’ roll classics! Popular featured artists for these events include the Ricky Adams Band, Derringer Band, The Lost Mule Band, and the Loyd Bonham Band. See Soda Pops’ Hot Rod Night Schedule for details on which bands play when! Bring chairs, friends, and a smile for a reminiscent evening you won’t soon forget.

The Food –

After you decide which night(s) you want to experience Hot Rod Night, remember to come hungry! The Soda Pops menu is absolutely mouthwatering!  How can it not when they serve juicy burgers and melt-in-your-mouth sides like fried pickles and jalapeño cheddar poppers? When you’ve completely stuffed yourself full of a delicious dinner, roll on over next door to Sugar Shack for a classic banana split, ice cream in a homemade waffle bowl, fresh baked cookies, retro bottled sodas and more! In case you’re thinking about it, there is no room for guilt here. The Shack also houses an arcade, table top bowling, checkers and plenty more old-school fun.

The Cars –

Of course, it wouldn’t be Hot Rod Night without the cars! Those who share a love for classic cars and hot rods are welcome to bring them here. You won’t want to miss the bright colors, roaring engines, pristine interiors, and unique body styles of the cars that show up to this shindig. For those who don’t have a car to show, that’s A-OK. The cars you’ll see will do so much for the atmosphere, you’ll feel like you took a step back in time. Hear the engines roar and watch them ride into the sunset!
