Fun Fitness While Visiting Boerne!

Whether you are just visiting or live here, there are many options for a great workout in Boerne. Local fitness enthusiast and blogger, Victoria Sparks, shares her favorite workout discoveries around Boerne, so read on and get ready to “glisten.”

Boerne is home to many fitness options including boutique studios, gyms, meet ups and free classes along with parks and trails throughout.  I love to work out and try new types of fitness/exercises and I am excited to share with you everything Boerne offers. When I moved to Boerne, I transitioned my blog ( to focus on the area and what this beautiful town offers. It was also a wonderful way to meet some amazing new friends.

Boutique Studios

We are lucky enough to have several boutique fitness studios in town as well. These offer specialized group fitness classes that are fun and exciting for every person.  I love the excitement of trying something new and these are great places to hang from the ceiling, Aerial Yoga Boerne, bounce your way through class on a trampoline, B Well Health and Fitness, paddle board yoga (SUP), Boerne Yoga House, and so much more. Boutique studios offer small class sizes so you still receive personalized attention in a non-judgmental place.

I recommend visiting the websites below and signing up for a class while you are in the area. Boutique locations are all so different and unique – you will be able to experience something new while in town. Boerne offers several gyms you can visit that offer 24-hour access. This is great to accommodate all schedules. There are also group fitness classes scheduled throughout the day, you can visit their websites for full schedules. I recommend these locations for people who like to work out on their own, are familiar with gym equipment and need the flexibility of scheduling. **Some participating locations will accept your membership from another location, check their website to find out more details**

Cross Fit

Cross fit is a very popular style of workout and we have 2 great locations in the area. These workouts incorporate elements from high-intensity interval training, Olympic weightlifting, plyometrics, powerlifting, gymnastics, girevoy sport, calisthenics, strongman, and other exercises. For those of you visiting, head over to their websites to stay on track while in town. If it's something you have never tried, vacations are a great time to try something new!

Meet Ups

Camp Gladiator is a fun way to enjoy a great group outdoor workout. So fun while visiting to enjoy the outdoors and sweat. They have groups that meet all over the surrounding area at different times and complete fun and exciting workouts. Early morning or late evening and everything in between. Free Classes

You can find community sponsored and free classes throughout the area as well! Who doesn't love something free? This is a great way to try something new before you commit. You can find yoga classes at the Patrick Heath Public Library. Visit their website for a full schedule. has several meet up groups in Boerne that offer running groups, hiking, dance, sports and so much more. Check them out and join in while you are in town.
